Inspiring Impactful Innovators (Ił) Programme |
Introduction The Inspiring Impactful Innovators (I3) Programme contains 6 free-standing modules that introduce students between age 9 to 18 years old to the dynamics of running a social business and allow them to be social innovators through entrepreneurship. ObjectivesThe objective of the programme is to immerse students into the social entrepreneurship scene and equip students with the knowledge, skills and attitude to identify unique social business opportunities to aid and impact the social community and develop their ideas into business plans and entrepreneurial projects. The programme also feature a field trip to a local social enterprise as well as a neighbourhood mapping exercise to help students to identify and relate to social causes and generate innovate business ideas and projects to benefit the needy. At the end of the workshop, students will be able to: - Understand the elements of running a successful social enterprise.
- Identify and assess unique business opportunities with a social impact.
- Write a business plan and pitch it well.
- Understand financial management in running a business.
- Learn effective marketing strategies.
- Learn how to build and maintain excellent customer relations.
- Create and run their own social enterprises and projects.
Benefits for StudentsOther than gaining a deeper understanding of how entrepreneurship is an essential life skill, students also learn how to handle challenges, solve problems, lead and work well with others to bring about positive changes to the community. They gain experience in three areas that promote self-sufficiency.
